Meet Elizabeth: Alabama-based lady angler, dog lover, and outdoors/fishing addict.
Reel Girls: What type of fishing do you prefer? Saltwater or freshwater? (or both!)
Elizabeth: “I prefer freshwater fishing in ponds or lakes. My favorite fish to catch has always been bass.”
Reel Girls: When did you start fishing and what do you love about it?
Elizabeth: “I’m pretty sure I got my first fishing pole at the age of 3, I grew up with my Dad teaching me all about it because it was his favorite hobby and now it’s mine! I actually still fish in the same pond where he first taught me how to fish! I love it because it’s where I feel closest to my Dad. He passed away about 7 years ago.”
Reel Girls: What is your go-to/favorite fishing gear set up while out on the water?
Elizabeth: “I always use an open faced pole and usually I try to stick with top water lures because that’s what I’ve always had the best luck with but I switch it up every now and then.”
Reel Girls: What is the most desired species of fish that you want to catch but haven’t yet?
Elizabeth: “I’ve always wanted to catch an Alligator Gar!”
Reel Girls: When you’re not fishing, what can we find you doing?
Elizabeth: “Anything outdoors that I can possibly find to do. Shooting guns, having a bonfire or hanging out with my boyfriend and dogs.”
Reel Girls: Random fact about yourself – GO!
Elizabeth: “I really love dogs lol”
